I would like to manually check for updates because I want to see optional extras that Microsoft just put out. Dunno if System Restore will really help because if this was caused when I uninstalled Mc Afee (I used the cleanup tool) and installed One Care, then I doubt that the restore will fix it.

the funny thing is I can go to my local Starbucks and initiate the download and it starts but is long and is problamatic at the speeds it downloads at.
